With early voting already underway, Paper Folds News has launched Vote Tipton, an interactive voter guide built to help Tipton County residents navigate the Aug. 6 general and state primary election — 27 races deep, from the top of the ballot to the bottom.
The tool, live now at paperfoldsnews.com/votetipton, pulls together candidate Q&As, live early-voting numbers, and campaign finance reporting into a single guide, rather than leaving voters to track down each piece separately.
It follows the launch of Paper Folds’ August 2026 County General and State Primary Voters Guide in PDF format last week.
“When we created the voters guide for the May primary, I was shocked that it was 89 pages long,” said Paper Folds Co-Founder and Editor Echo Rose. “Nobody wants to read all of that. So, we’ve broken it down into an interactive tool where you can choose what you’re interested in reading or check out some of our other features.”
What’s in it
At the center of the guide is a race-by-race candidate Q&A: readers can jump straight to any county race and read every candidate’s answers to the same set of questions, side by side.
A live early vote tracker shows how many ballots have been cast so far, broken out by party, and updates daily through Aug. 1. The same running total appears on the guide’s front page, so readers don’t have to click through to a separate page just to check the count.
The guide also includes a campaign finance breakdown for the Tennessee House District 81 primary, drawn from the disclosures Jason Fleming and Brett Giannini filed with the state for the first half of 2026 — who’s funding each campaign, and what the money has gone toward.
Rounding it out is a Blind Candidate Match game: readers pick the races they care about, weigh in on a handful of issue statements, and see which candidate’s stated positions line up most closely with their own.
“This is my favorite part and one I’ve been planning for months,” Rose said. “So many times we choose a candidate based on name recognition or what we’ve heard about them. Through this quiz, you can choose the answer you think is best and find out at the end who you most closely align with – it could be different from the person you were planning to vote for.”
The guide also lists early voting hours and locations, with driving directions, for anyone who hasn’t cast a ballot yet.
Rose said she wanted it to be a resource not just for undecided voters, but anyone who wants to keep up with local election-related stories, candidate profiles, or related data.
