Munford’s fall concert series kicks off Sept. 3

The City of Munford launches its free Fall Concert Series tonight, Sept. 3, with a performance by WALRUS at Veterans Plaza.

WALRUS brings a set of ’80s college radio rock to the plaza stage, kicking off a lineup that will bring live music to downtown Munford every Thursday evening through the month.

Food trucks will be on site for the evening, with Paradise Grill serving up dinner options and Rainbow Squeezed Lemonade offering drinks for concertgoers.

Attendees are encouraged to bring their own chairs and blankets to set up on the plaza lawn. Tents and large umbrellas will not be permitted at the venue.

Sept. 3 — WALRUS

Sept. 10 — Saddle Up Memphis

Sept. 17 — The Bugaloos

Sept. 24 — Brian Johnson Band

All four shows are free and open to the public, with performances beginning at 6:30 p.m. at Veterans Plaza, 1483 Munford Ave. Food trucks will be on site at each event, and attendees are encouraged to bring chairs and blankets.
