Twenty-nine new businesses registered with the Tipton County Clerk’s Office in September, ranging from a pizza spot in Burlison to a mobile pet groomer in Drummonds.
The list, which covers licenses filed Sept. 1-30, 2026, leans heavily toward building and skilled trades. Ten of the new businesses are contractors, electricians, welders, handymen or home builders, and three more offer pool, pest or tree services.
Munford and Covington each added six businesses, Atoka added five, followed by Brighton and Mason with three each, Burlison with two and Drummonds with one. One business listed a Millington mailing address, and two contractors listed addresses outside Tennessee.
September started fast. Ten of the 29 licenses were filed on Sept. 1 alone.
Mason picked up two electrical contractors in the same month: Hatchie Electric, licensed Sept. 1, and Watts Up Electric, licensed Sept. 24.
Not every new license means a new storefront. Many of the businesses on the list are service companies that travel to customers, sell online or operate from a home base.
