Tractor Supply announces soft opening in late June, grand opening on July 11

In a social media post Friday afternoon, it was confirmed that Munford’s Tractor Supply will have its soft opening the last week of June and a grand opening on July 11.

The store, which sits under the City of Munford water tower north of Hwy. 51 and Marshall Road, has been under construction for several months.

Part of a major national expansion

The Munford location is one of approximately 100 new Tractor Supply locations the company plans to open in 2026. Tractor Supply Company, headquartered in Brentwood, Tenn., is the largest rural lifestyle retailer in the United States, and it has set a long-term goal of reaching 3,200 stores nationwide. The company opened its 2,400th location in Aiken, S.C., in January 2026.

Tractor Supply stores carry products for lawn and garden, livestock, pet care, equine, workwear, tools, and hardware. Many newer locations also include a garden center and propane refill station.

What to expect

The soft opening will give shoppers their first look at the store before the official grand opening on July 11. Tractor Supply grand openings have typically featured ribbon-cutting ceremonies, community events, and partnerships with local organizations.

No plans to close the Covington location have been announced.
