Summer is officially in session, Tipton County, and this weekend is ready to prove it!

Friday brings one of the biggest free community events of the year out at Atoka Railroad Adventure, and Saturday is stacked from sunup to sundown with farmers markets, fishing rodeos, a community bash in Brighton, and not one but two live music options come nightfall.

Friday, June 5

Atoka Railroad Adventures Kick Off Summer Event A massive free community event at Atoka Railroad Adventure with mini golf, a Ferris wheel, train rides, a spider jump, a rock wall, snowies, DJ Resurrection, and a weather-permitting movie at the park after dark. All made possible by local business sponsors and nonprofit partners.

Saturday, June 6

Daddy Bill Fishing Rodeo / Free Family Fishing Day It’s Bobby Wilson’s Statewide Free Family Fishing Day — no fishing license required for anyone in Tennessee. The Daddy Bill Fishing Rodeo at First Baptist Church Covington is open to kids 15 and under, with TWRA-stocked catfish, sponsor prizes, and food available for a good cause. Bring your own bait and tackle, no registration needed.
