On Friday, the City of Covington will host a remembrance ceremony to mark the 25th anniversary of the Sept. 11, 2001 terrorist attacks.
The commemoration carries the theme “Never Forget. Honor Always,” organized around three ideas: remembering the lives lost, honoring the nation’s heroes, and uniting as one nation.
City officials said the ceremony is meant to reaffirm a shared commitment to unity, resilience and freedom a quarter century after the attacks.
The event is set for Friday, Sept. 11 at 7:30 a.m. on the east side of Historic Covington Square. The public is invited and encouraged to attend.
