Tipton County recorded 17 new business licenses in August 2026, according to filings with the Tipton County Clerk’s Office. The City of Covington had three.

The new businesses were licensed in six cities and communities across the county: Atoka, Burlison, Covington, Drummonds, Mason, and Munford.

Munford continued to lead the county with seven new licenses, followed by Covington with three. Burlison, Drummonds, and Mason each recorded two, and Atoka recorded one.

The following listings reflect new business licenses issued by the Tipton County Clerk’s Office. Additional licenses may have been issued in Covington, Brighton, and Mason, which require municipal licenses as well.

What types of businesses are opening

Food and beverage businesses made up the largest share of August’s filings, with Alebrijes Cafe, Sweet & Saucy Cafe, and Twin’s Bar & Grill opening restaurants and a bar and grill, alongside home baker Cookies by Kate.

Property and outdoor services were also well represented, including landscaping and lawn care ventures 901 Superior Services and Lewis Landscape Service, and remodeling contractor Powered Up Property Solutions.

Professional and personal services accounted for several new licenses as well, led by Infinite Oak Home Inspections, Investigator Veritatis private investigations, and Faith Over Fear Counseling‘s virtual counseling practice.

Trucking and freight businesses C & K Freight Haulers and Supreme Enterprise LLC both registered, as did retailers 901Cards and Enjoy the Moment Online Boutique.

Rounding out the month were taxidermist CK Outdoors and event and party rental business What a Time Co.

Starting a new business? You can apply for a business license at the Tipton County Clerk’s office. The fee for a standard or minimal activity license is $15. Businesses located in Covington, Brighton, and Mason require local city licenses as well.

Licenses cannot be transferred from one business owner to another.
