Munford, TRA students recognized with Orpheum theatre award nominations

Students and a teacher from Munford High School and Tipton-Rosemark Academy are among this year’s nominees for the 2026 Orpheum High School Musical Theatre Awards.

Munford High School earned two nominations for its production of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat. Selena Harris was nominated for Outstanding Student Creative Achievement, and Jonathan Billings was nominated for Outstanding Featured Actor for his role as Naphtali. 

Tipton-Rosemark Academy was also recognized for its production of Shrek the Musical. Zoe Meredith was nominated for Outstanding Student Technical Achievement. Lalania Vaughn was nominated for the Inspiring Teacher Award. 

The annual awards program celebrates high school musical theatre students from across the Mid-South. This year’s ceremony is set for 7 p.m. Thursday, May 21, at the Orpheum Theatre in Memphis.
